Disney+ subscribers may watch live-action series and big-screen adventures that are part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is constantly growing. With an ensemble cast comprised of Marvel antiheroes, Thunderbolts is one of the most eagerly awaited future Marvel films. Geraldine Viswanathan joined the Thunderbolts cast as a replacement for Ayo Edebiri, who was unable to present due to a schedule difficulty. Additionally, her most recent humorous take on taking the place of the Bear star demonstrates how close the two actors are. Since our knowledge of Thunderbolt's contents is limited, there is a lot of discussion and rumors about the project on the internet. Due to schedule conflicts brought on by the strikes that caused delays for the film, Steven Yeun and Ayo Edebiri were forced to abandon the production. However, Viswanathan told THR that the actress who came after her is friendly with her successor, saying:
We have a long history together, and Ayo is currently in Los Angeles taking care of my automobile. that Ayo is one of my best friends and Kia Nero is the love of my life. It has been helpful to discuss the role with someone who understands it, as she played a significant influence in my decision to accept it.
That's friendship right there. And it appears that Viswanathan's decision to play her friend in Thunderbolts was greatly influenced by the relationship the two had. All we can do is wait and watch what exactly that character gets up to in the upcoming big-budget movie.
Even if Ayo Edebiri's recent Emmy win for The Bear may have disappointed some moviegoers, it's encouraging to see how close she and her replacement are. And I'm excited to watch Geraldine Viswanathan's Thunderbolts performance on the big screen.

Though most of the role's details are unknown, it has been stated that Viswanathan's unidentified character will serve as Julia Louis-Dreyfus's Valentina Allegra de Fontaine's secretary. In addition to the Black Widow credits sequence, the Seinfeld legend has made appearances in several Marvel films, including The Falcon, The Winter Soldier, and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. However, Thunderbolts will be her first leading role, and it appears that we'll also be getting to know additional members of her cast, such as her assistant.
There haven't been many crossover events in the MCU overall in the years since the release of Avengers: Endgame in 2019. This is where Thunderbolts will offer a twist; instead of heroes coming together, the titular team will be made up of several former villains. Additionally, Thunderbolts may be even more important to the shared universe as a whole now that Avengers 5 has a new title.
As of right now, Thunderbolts is scheduled to open in theaters on May 2, 2025.
