Iman Vellani expresses interest in Ms. Marvel joining the X-Men

The actress Iman Vellani expressed her preference to join the X-Men squad right away over other alternatives during a period when fans were curious about Ms. Marvel's destiny.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) first introduced Ms. Marvel a number of years ago. Since then, the character has been a part of numerous significant teams, such as the Avengers, and is currently a founding member of the Champions. Kamala Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, is revealed to have founded the Young Avengers squad in the MCU in the film's epilogue from 2023, "The Marvels." With The Marvels, the teenage superhero made a significant transition from the small screen to the big screen after starring in the title role in the Disney Plus Hotstar series.

Actress Iman Vellani expressed her preference to join the X-Men team right away over other alternatives during a period when fans were speculating about Ms. Marvel's future and whether or not the character would still be included in Kevin Feige's future plans for the franchise.

"On the big screen?," the actress remarked in an interview with ComicBook.com. X-Men. That's not a horrible response, in my opinion. The X-Men, in my opinion, are incredibly awesome because they just establish her as a real mutant, dispelling the doubters."

Speaking further, Vellani said, "I never thought about that," when asked if her character will ever become an X-Men member. Because those stories seem so ageless to me, and because I still have my own X-Men characters who I think about... Furthermore, it's unclear to me whether she is viewed as the new mutant in the true sense and this generation as a whole. However, I don't believe I should mention that. I believe that the audience will accept the two miniseries I've produced, and ideally they will be pleased with the outcome."
