Feige reveals Fantastic Four as MCU's first period film

Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, has revealed the most recent information regarding The Fantastic Four. In the movie, Ebon Moss-Bachrach plays Ben Grimm/The Thing, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic. Feige has disclosed that the movie is a historical drama with a 1960s setting. Feige stated, "It is a period film, and there was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol," on The Official Marvel Podcast. In that picture, a cityscape was seen. Many astute observers noted that the cityscape bore no resemblance to either the New York of the 1960s or the New York that we knew and loved. As we were about to lose hope in the story of Tobey Maguire's role as the original and the legendary Spider-Man trilogy directed by Sam Raimi, fans witnessed him soaring alongside his heirs in the 2021 MCU picture Spider-Man: No Way Home. The fandom was so taken back by watching him and Andrew Garfield with Tom Holland that they insisted on seeing the Sony original series renewed for a new endeavor.

And now, it appears as though that dream may soon come true. Thomas Haden Church, who portrayed the Sandman in both the original series and the most recent MCU Spider-Man movie, disclosed that there's a possibility that Raimi and The Great Gatsby star will be working on the highly anticipated fourth installment of the series, in which he may also appear. In a recent conversation with ComicBook, Church discussed this in detail, stating:


"However, Sandman, there have been some whispers that they might want me to do another Spider-Man, and I would do it tomorrow. Remember, they have never asked me to appear in another Marvel movie. But you know, I believe Sam will work with Tobey [Maguire] on another Spider-Man, and that's the one thatWhen it was announced that there will be a Spider-Man 4, they gave me the choice to do it. I was given the choice to return to them. That would be great if that were to occur. I'm growing older a little."That being said, this may be the best chance for Sony to bring the dying Spider-Verse property back to life.


How Come Sony's Spider-Man Trilogy Is So Famous?

Fundamentally, Raimi's original Spider-Man trilogy was among the best instances of a comic book adaptation in cinematic history, which is one of the key reasons why fans embraced it so enthusiastically.
