Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, has revealed the most recent information regarding The Fantastic Four. In the movie, Ebon Moss-Bachrach plays Ben Grimm/The Thing, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic. Feige has disclosed that the movie is a historical drama with a 1960s setting. Feige stated, "It is a period film, and there was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol," on The Official Marvel Podcast. In that picture, a cityscape was seen. Many astute observers noted that the cityscape bore no resemblance to either the New York of the 1960s or the New York that we knew and loved. Will Iron Man return?

In these 3 MCU films, Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man might make a comeback

Whatever project it may come in, Downey Jr.'s role will likely end up being beyond a cameo in order to ensure his return feels earned and worthwhile. But fans shouldn't expect to see Iron Man back to leading the Avengers or taking a starring role in any MCU movie as the time for that has passed

The three upcoming MCU films listed below may resurrect Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man.

Since the MCU's first superhero, played by Downey Jr.'s Iron Man, died in Avengers: Endgame in the year 2019, fans have been speculating about how the beloved character would come back.

Movies Iron Man star Robert Downey Jr. might make a comeback in

1 Armor Wars

Armor Wars, the War Machine solo film starring Don Cheadle, honors the heritage of Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man with a plot that has Rhodey charged with recovering advanced Stark technology that has fallen into the wrong hands.

2 Avengers: The Kang Dynasty

The Multiverse Saga's central focus on variations and parallel universes will start to come to a close. Therefore, even if Tony Stark from Earth-616 has passed away, the crossover event will present a chance to introduce a different version of Robert Downey Jr.'s hero.

3. Avengers: Secret Wars

The conclusion of the Multiverse Saga, in 2027, Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man is unquestionably the project with the most likelihood of him making a significant comeback. By then, it will have been eight years and one Avengers film since his last appearance, making his comeback feel well-deserved.

The majority of people anticipate that Secret Wars will introduce several Spider-Men and other legendary Marvel characters from the previous Fox universe. It would be a no-brainer to cast Downey Jr. as Iron Man if the company intended for Avengers 6 to provide fan service on previously unheard of heights.

There may not be a finer way to bring the Marvel Cinematic Universe full circle than the Secret Wars, which pits the heroes of several universes against one another.

Avengers: The Kang Dynasty hits theaters on May 1, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars set to follow on May 7, 2027. Armor Wars has no official release date yet.
