Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, has revealed the most recent information regarding The Fantastic Four. In the movie, Ebon Moss-Bachrach plays Ben Grimm/The Thing, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic. Feige has disclosed that the movie is a historical drama with a 1960s setting. Feige stated, "It is a period film, and there was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol," on The Official Marvel Podcast. In that picture, a cityscape was seen. Many astute observers noted that the cityscape bore no resemblance to either the New York of the 1960s or the New York that we knew and loved. X-Men MCU Reboot Rumored to Feature Classic Villain

The Marvel Cinematic Universe will soon include the X-Men. According to a recent report, Marvel is planning to use one of the most recognizable villains from the franchise for their first MCU big-screen project.

Marvel is getting ready to invest heavily in mutants. According to a prior rumor, the Avengers will take a backseat as a number of X-Men-focused projects are developed for the next chapter of the MCU. According to scooper DanielRPK, Mister Sinister will be the primary nemesis in the upcoming X-Men revival, thus it appears the movie has found its antagonist.Possibly the most prominent X-Men villain never to appear in a motion picture is Mister Sinister. Making him the antagonist of the MCU's revival makes perfect sense. This is especially true if Marvel's goal is to steer clear of antagonists like Magneto, who have starred in nearly all of the X-Men films to date.

The X-Men Films and Mister Sinister's Background

The concept to adapt Mister Sinister for the big screen did not originate with the people at Marvel Studios. Mister Sinister was supposed to be the main character in the upcoming X-Men film series, but that was before Disney acquired 20th Century Fox and turned the IP over to the MCU for a reboot.

There were also hints of Mister Sinister in their X-Men spin-offs. The antagonist was supposed to play a major part in The New Mutants, but after a protracted and difficult development, plans for anything more than a single movie were abandoned. An appearance by Mister Sinister was also planned for the scrapped Gambit spin-off.Fortunately for fans of the X-Men, Mister Sinister has a lengthy history of making appearances in animated programs. In fact, the villain will make his Marvel Studios debut in X-Men '97. Many conjecture that this will serve as a means of acquainting casual fans with the character prior to his silver screen debut in the MCU.
