Kevin Feige, head of Marvel Studios, has revealed the most recent information regarding The Fantastic Four. In the movie, Ebon Moss-Bachrach plays Ben Grimm/The Thing, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn plays Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Pedro Pascal plays Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic. Feige has disclosed that the movie is a historical drama with a 1960s setting. Feige stated, "It is a period film, and there was another piece of art we released with Johnny Storm flying in the air making a 4 symbol," on The Official Marvel Podcast. In that picture, a cityscape was seen. Many astute observers noted that the cityscape bore no resemblance to either the New York of the 1960s or the New York that we knew and loved. Those are astute insights. Feige also said that The Fantastic Four filming will start the Monday following Comic-Con, July 29. In addition, Paul Walter-Hauser, Ralph Ineson, John Malkovich, Julia Garner as Silver Surfer, and Natasha Lyonne sta...

Aliens vs Avengers: Redesigned heroes face ultimate threat

Famous Avengers members including Steve Rogers' Captain America, Tony Stark's Iron Man, and Carol Danvers' Captain Marvel receive grungy costumes as part of their final attempt to rescue the human race as the team faces a catastrophic setback at the hands of Thanos that surpasses even their MCU loss. Superstar artist Esad Ribić is responsible for the new looks, which also feature Miles Morales' Spider-Man, Black Panther, and the Hulk.null

Marvel has released the magnificent cover art by Esad Ribić with Earth's Mightiest Heroes facing off against the Xenomorph scourge in the solicit information for Aliens vs. Avengers #2. The Avengers will battle a massive Xenomorph invasion in the Marvel/Alien crossover, which is published under Marvel's 20th Century Studios imprint. The upcoming issue 2's synopsis confirms that not only will a great number of lives be lost, but that humanity will also be forced to surrender and leave Earth.

The Avengers had suffered significant setbacks in the past, like the official surrender in The Kang Dynasty and the Age of Ultron, where they were forced to the verge of complete defeat. They have never, however, been so terrified that they have abandoned the earth to an enemy army and escaped into space. In the future Aliens vs. Avengers is set in, where "older, grittier versions" of the Avengers fight the Xenomorph army. Fans now know that the elderly heroes will have new appearances to commemorate this special storytelling era.

Marvel's Biggest Heroes Get New Looks in Aliens vs. Avengers

Older, Hardier Iterations of Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and Captain America Battle for Earth The most recent Marvel crossover involving a 20th Century Studios property is Aliens vs. Avengers. In previous events, Marvel's heroes faced off against the Xenomorphs' long-standing galactic foes in Predator vs. Wolverine (Benjamin Percy and Greg Land) and Predator vs. Black Panther (Benjamin Percy and Chris Allen). But up until now, such shows have largely been one-on-one affairs, with the heroes engaging in rather noble battles for survival. Aliens vs. Avengers, on the other hand, will be a full-scale invasion narrative in which it is obvious that any result is possible.

In Ribić's artwork, the Avengers are gathered, with Black Panther and Captain Marvel displaying their new armor and T'Challa wearing a respirator. Captain America, a representation of the American Dream who is often more approachable and human, is dressed in a tactical outfit with white lenses, while Iron Man is decked out in new armor with a pale faceplate and rounded lines. The Hulk and Miles Morales complete the team with their iconic appearances, albeit Miles is probably an adult hero now.

It's possible that the more experienced, gritty Avengers will come out on top in this series because alien stories typically result in significant losses for humans. Beyond the allure of seeing Aliens cross over into the Marvel Universe, that's a compelling idea for fans of the comic book series. Hopefully, the uniforms of Captain America, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel include some sort of specialized anti-Xenomorph armor and weaponry; if not, this could end up being just another Alien tale in which humanity is completely defeated. Marvel Comics will release Aliens vs. Avengers #1 on August 28 and the second issue in September 2024.
