New Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer Features Multiversal Wolverine

More images from the next Marvel Cinematic Universe film are featured in the recently released Deadpool & Wolverine trailer. Deadpool and Wolverine are aiming to be one of the biggest Marvel Studios films to date, despite the fact that there won't be many Marvel films produced in 2024. The tale of Ryan Reynolds's character Deadpool is far from complete, as he is joining the MCU and becoming a regular role, even if the original X-Men film universe is practically finished.

A new Deadpool and Wolverine trailer is set to release on Monday, over two months after the original one made its debut during the Super Bowl, according to Reynolds' announcement over the weekend. The most recent trailer, which highlights the cast of Deadpool and Wolverine as well as the overall plot, has now been released, just as promised.

Additionally, Marvel Studios unveiled two brand-new posters for Deadpool and Wolverine, in which the characters played by Reynolds and Jackman gaze into one other's reflections in the swords and claws.

Everything About the Film That the New Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer Teases

The clip seems to confirm that the MCU will be sticking with this version of Jackman, leaving the one who died in the Logan movie alone. This is in contrast to the many ideas over how Jackman would fit into Deadpool & Wolverine. Wolverine in this incarnation appears to have failed his X-Men reality; according to Paradox, Logan "let down his entire world." Logan is also shown in front of what appear to be tombstones in the Deadpool & Wolverine teaser; these could be the tombstones of his fallen X-Men teammates.

It appears that Emma Corrin's character is having problems with this Wolverine version, regardless of whether or not she is portraying the Marvel villain Cassandra Nova. However, the sneak peek presents a strong argument for Corrin's Marvel role being none other than Charles Xavier's twin sister, based on the character's action sequences with Logan, the powers displayed in the Deadpool & Wolverine teaser, and how the character looks visually. Given their antagonism, it wouldn't be shocking if Corrin's antagonist is maybe from the same universe as the new Wolverine variation.

The fact that Wade and Logan run through a portal while this world—possibly the X-Men movie universe—is totally wrecked and dark clouds are swarming in is one of the most important things to remember from the Deadpool & Wolverine teaser. This could be the last straw for Fox's Marvel brand. It's intriguing, though, since the portal they pass through is the same one that Doctor Strange can conjure, which begs the issue of whether the Sorcerer Supreme—or some other magic user or mode of transportation—is involved. It remains to be seen what more shocks Deadpool & Wolverine will bring to the MCU audience with just three months till its theatrical debut.
